Privacy Policy

This is an editorial site. It sells nothing, has no accounts to register for, and collects as little as it can get away with. This page says exactly what that means.

Last updated: 22 October 2026.

What we collect

Server logs. Our web host records standard request logs: IP address, the page requested, the time, the referring page and your browser’s user-agent string. These are generated by the server, used for security and diagnosing faults, and retained by the host on its own schedule.

Email you send us. If you email us, we keep the message so we can reply and so we can track a correction through to the page being fixed. We do not add you to a mailing list.

What we do not collect

  • No user accounts. Registration is disabled.
  • No comments. Commenting is turned off site-wide, so there is no comment data at all.
  • No contact forms. Contact is by email only, which means nothing is posted through this site.
  • No newsletter sign-up, so no email list.
  • No advertising network, and no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • No third-party fonts. The typefaces on this site are served from this domain, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you visited.
  • No embedded videos, social widgets, share buttons or like buttons, all of which would otherwise report your visit to the platform concerned.

Because the site carries no external links and no third-party embeds, a normal visit involves requests to this domain and nowhere else.

Cookies

A visitor who only reads pages is not set any cookie by us. Our caching layer may use a cookie to decide whether to serve you a cached page. If you log in as an administrator, WordPress sets session and preference cookies, which is a normal part of logging in and applies to us, not to readers.

There is no cookie banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to.

Third parties involved in running the site

Our web host stores the site’s files and database and generates the server logs described above. Our caching layer serves pages faster and may set the cookie described above. We do not share data with anyone else, because we do not have any to share.

If we add analytics in future, this page will be updated before it goes live, and the entry will name the provider and say what it records.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or the EU you have rights of access, correction, erasure and objection over personal data we hold about you. In practice the only such data we are likely to hold is an email you sent us. Email us and we will tell you what we have and delete it on request.

Server logs are held by our host as part of operating the service. If you want a log entry traced or removed, email us and we will take it up with the host, though we cannot promise an outcome we do not control.

Children

This site is written for people doing marketing work and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
